Rafeyri has specialised in marine electricity right from the beginning as the company was originally founded out of the electrical department of Slippurinn Akureyri (The Shipyard of Akureyri). Rafeyri has since worked in close cooperation with Slippurinn, both in maintenance and new projects.

Rafeyri has increasingly focused on the specialisation of its employees in the field of high voltage, and in this regard we’ve sent people to courses in Iceland and abroad to acquire knowledge and rights. Rafeyri therefore has personnel who may connect up to 145 kV terminal equipment and earthing sockets.
